These funky earrings are made from materials in my recycle bin. The metal has been textured and hammered for a beautiful raw and organic feel. I riveted a tourmalated moonstone to the sterling tabs which swing back and forth from a small hinge that holds the ear wire. I did not clean the fire scale off because I thought the patina from the flame was too wonderful! It is not a flaw or a skipped step just a pretty unintentional detail.
Modern, rustic, raw, organic and maybe even a little primitive looking. One of my favorites!
These are 2 inches total length and 3/4 inch wide. The moonstone is 3/8 inch or 12mm diameter and stands roughly 1/8 inch or 5mm deep. The hinge is 5/16 inch or 9mm.
My earrings are photographed using a macro lens to show detail and may appear bigger than what the true size is. If you need a perspective photo please contact me and I will shoot one for you.
Thank you for looking.
