This is one of those pieces that has been reimagined a few times. I think that this last tweak with the center ring and tourmaline is just what this necklace needed! I really like the originality of it. The tourmaline slices make this necklace pretty weighty but the chain is finer as to keep it feminine.
Smooth black tourmaline slices in-between hand fabricated chain. The center is a large sterling silver ring and a beautiful watermelon tourmaline slice.
Total length is 20 inches long, 2-1/4 inches of which is adjustable. The tourmaline slices are roughly 1-1/4 inches long and 3/4 inch wide. 4mm thick.
Sterling silver hinge clasp and a little sterling silver bell at the end of the extender chain. The watermelon tourmaline is 7/8 inch long with a width of 1 inch at the bottom of the stone and 1/2 inch at the top. 5mm thick.
The ring that holds the tourmaline is substantial measuring 2-1/4 inches diameter, but it is not too thick so it is lightweight. The little inside ring is about 7/8 inch diameter.
All of my pictures are taken using a macro lens so the items are smaller than what they appear. If you would like a perspective photo please let me know and I will take one for you.
